The 2017 Ram 2500 is an excellent choice if you are in the market for a heavy-duty truck. It offers a refined cabin, class-leading ride, and towing and hauling capabilities that will get the job done. The 2500 is a step up from RAM's 1500 model and is a workhorse in every way. The 2017 Ram 2500 can be purchased in a variety of cabin configurations, powertrain options, and box length choices. Under the 2500's Hood

The standard engine for the 2017 RAM is a 5.7-liter V8 gasoline engine that puts out 383 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. There is a modified version of that engine that runs on compressed natural gas. There are two other available engines - a 6.4-liter V8 that will give you 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque and a turbocharged 6.7-liter diesel six-cylinder. The diesel pumps out 350 hp and 660 lb-ft when matched to a six-speed manual transmission. When paired with the six-speed automatic, those numbers come in at 370 hp and 800 lb-ft of torque.  The 2017 2500 offers two segment-exclusive rear suspensions: a five-link coil system or air suspension system. The 2500 is available with either rear-wheel drive or part-time four-wheel drive, except the Power Wagon, which is available in 4WD form only.
