Favorite Off-Road Modifications of Buchanan Autopark

All of our Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, and Jeep® dealers agree, off-roading is a thrilling way to experience the power and versatility of your vehicle. However, at Buchanan Auto Park of Waynesboro, we also understand that part of embarking on an adventure means having a car that is fully equipped to do so.

Off-roading is no casual sport. While you may be able to take on some light trails in a SUV with some decent ground clearance, you shouldn’t take on the more rigorous paths until your vehicle is properly modified.

Durable off-road tires are great place to start when modifying your vehicle for exploration. Off-road tires are much more capable and durable than your average street tire. Making the trudge through dirt, mud, snow, and rock with relative ease.

Ground clearance is a fan favorite as well. The higher your vehicle is off the ground the better. Installing a substantial lift kit can go a long way in preventing your undercarriage from being beaten to a pulp by rocks and other debris. You can even reinforce your undercarriage with some solid skit plates, which essentially provide shielding for these sensitive components.

The last thing we recommend is a survival kit. The wilderness can be rigorous and unforgiving and you never know when you’ll find yourself in bad situation. Having a bag filled with flares, non-perishable foods, a first aid kit, blankets, and plenty of water is never a bad idea.

Here at Buchanan Auto Park, we’re big fans of the dirt, and our Jeep, Dodge, RAM, and Chrysler parts team is too. When you visit us for off-road modifications inspect your vehicle from bumper to bumper and turn your current vehicle into a true wilderness trekker.
